Wedding rentals have the ability to completely transform any space and event. Over the years, working on numerous weddings and other events, we've come to really know what makes a difference and we'll let you in on some tips and tricks when deciding on wedding rentals - keep on reading!
Wedding Rentals Every Wedding Needs
Unless you're going for an intimate elopement, most weddings will need a list of particular rentals to make it an enjoyable affair not just for you, the couple, but also your guests. Every wedding is different and, of course, there is no 'one size fits all' approach but these, really, are the basics.
Wedding arches. Most wedding ceremonies have wedding arches. Interestingly, wedding arches are sometimes one of the most unique design elements in a wedding as they are often custom-made and decorated with lush florals or flowy draping making them highly distinctive and personal.
Canopies and wedding tents. Even when having an outdoor wedding, you might want that extra bit of cover. Not only to create a cozy vibe, but also to add an extra layer between you and the weather, no matter how great it is in Hawaii.
Our new line of sailcloth tents are the perfect addition to any Hawaii destination wedding - they are lightweight, airy, breathable, and look fantastic. Sailcloth tents really are the ultimate outdoor venue! Whether for dining, dancing or both, these beautiful tents come in various round and oval sizes and give you the freedom to infuse the space with as many personal touches as you'd like, including gorgeous under-canopy lighting.
Chairs and tables. No wedding and reception would be complete without chairs and tables. By choosing chairs in a particular design, you can really enhance the overall theme and feel of the wedding. Cane back chairs will look beautiful for romantic weddings that have a strong old-world European vibe. Tiffany chairs go very well with the tropical theme as they resemble faux bamboo. For a more modern feel, you can't go wrong with the so-called ghost chair or acrylic chair. These chairs look the best in a monochromatic color theme while still having a striking effect.
Linens. Depending on the design theme, you can, of course, have beautifully set up dining tables without any linens but more often than not you'll want to have linens as they not only look beautiful but also serve a functional purpose. From plain to print linens, one thing to keep in mind is using high-quality fabrics. Having a wedding in Hawaii means that you can go for more bold linens with colorful and eye-catching prints.
Tableware. Even the most subtle details make a difference, especially in the dining setup. Things like table runners, charger plates, cutlery, crockery, and glassware are there not only to be functional but also go hand in hand with the wedding theme. Achieve an original look with colorful glassware or cutlery with modern rose gold or gold finish.
Flooring. Although custom flooring can allow for the same creativity as any part of your design, flooring in general is absolutely essential for many outdoor weddings in Hawaii, especially if you are having an oceanfront wedding. Sometimes incorporated in the wedding arch, but most often it'll be where you'll have your first dance as a married couple and dance the night away with your guests.
Personalize with Unique Design Touches
Unique and personal design touches are what make your wedding truly yours and that's exactly what you want on your special day, isn't it?
We've all heard it - form follows function. We agree. Before splurging on every attractive detail you've seen on Pinterest, first think about what it is you want to achieve and why?
Twinkle lights might look great in photos but if you're having a daytime wedding on the oceanfront, you might want to invest your lighting budget somewhere else. Day-to-night weddings will look beautiful with statement light pieces like pendant lights or chandeliers that have an effect both through the day as well as when the sun dips below the horizon.
If your purpose is to have a wedding which is all about fun and your guests having the time of their lives while also taking memorable photos, consider a photo corner or fun backdrops - you could even use surfboards for that in a tropical-themed wedding.
Consider having a lounge area with various seating options where your guests can mingle. It's all about mixing and matching, so have separate areas with low and comfortable lounge furniture but also have tall bar tables where guests can socialize while standing up. Colorful pillows are such a small but significant touch that can instantly deliver an eye-catching effect.
Whatever you choose to add to your wedding, remember that even the smallest details make a difference and they should all spark joy - yes, we are totally going Marie Kondo on this one and so should you!
